has a delicious moist white flesh with a delicate flavour and excellent
health benefits with one of the highest levels of omega-3s, the "good
oils, found in Australian fish. Organic Orara Perch is certified by the
National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA). This
certification is your assurance that our fish are grown in accordance with

What's the difference between organic and convetional fish farming?
Our philosophy is to work in harmony with the environment. We take a "whole-of-farm"
approach and adapt our management system to ensure environmental sustainability.
Our stocking densities are about half that used in conventional farming.
This helps optimise water quality and ensure the health of our fish. Organic
Orara Perch is fed certified organic feed. Our fish are not treated with
hormones, antibiotics or pesticides and there is no use of genetically
modified organisms. Approximately one-third of our farm is forested, providing
over 14 hectares (30 acres) of habitat for native plants and animals.

How does it taste and cook?
Organic Orara Perch is equally at home in the domestic or the commercial
kitchen, on the barbecue, in the oven, or steamed. The flesh is mild and
very versatile in accepting flavours. The fat lines and fat marbling in
the flesh protects it during cooking, keeping it moist and adding flavour.
It can prepared and served in minutes. Perch has a high meat recovery with
a few large bones that are easy to remove. Organic Orara Perch is low in
saturated fat, high in protein and an excellent source of omega 3 polyunsaturated
fatty acids.
